Caral Edelberg, CPC, CPMA, CAC, CCS-P, CHC, is president of Edelberg Compliance Associates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana consults in the specialties of emergency medicine (professional and facility), hospital/critical care medicine (hospitalist), EMS/ambulance and urgent care. Caral has certifications in coding, auditing and compliance.
- Caral currently develops training, auditing and monitoring tools while providing compliance audits used to identify coding and billing problems for emergency and hospitalist medicine.
- She is an active member of many professional organizations and has served on the National Advisory Board for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC); is currently President of the Baton Rouge chapter of the AAPC and long-term member of the Coding and Nomenclature Advisory Committee of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
