Dr. Mark Miani currently serves as Senior Medical Advisor, Expert Advisory Services for Executive Health Resources (EHR). At present, more than 1,100 hospital and healthcare organizations across the country are using EHR's solutions.
- Dr. Miani has extensive experience with federal regulations, policies, and guidance issued by CMS affiliated contractors involved in medical review, audits and investigations. His expertise includes utilization management and documentation improvement for care management, medical necessity and length of stay.
- Before joining EHR, Dr. Miani served as Medical Director for Health and Disease Management at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
- Dr. Miani was also a Medical Advisor and then Chief of Quality Improvement Programs for the Peace Corps Office of Medical Services.
- He also served as principal author of the Peace Corps medical care handbook, which contained more than 40 clinical guidelines, and he revised and expanded the country risk and clinical capabilities assessment program.
- Dr. Miani also served as Medical Director for international medical assistance companies, providing preventative and emergency services for clients, including American Express and General Electric.
- Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Miani attended Albany Medical College and completed his training at George Washington University Medical Center.
